2023 Blueberry Hill Pinot Noir
Source
The grapes for this wine are sourced exclusively from Blueberry Hill Vineyard, located in the Summerland Bench sub-GI of the Okanagan Valley.
Winemaking
Made entirely from Dijon clone 777, the grapes are handpicked and fermented separately with ambient yeast. After 21 days on skins, the wine ages for 13 months in French oak barrels, 25% new.
Tasting Notes
This wine offers a mix of red and dark fruit, with notes of red plum, raspberry, blackberry, and dark cherry. Hints of dried herbs, potting soil, spice, and violet add depth. Moderate tannins lead to a long, smooth finish with subtle minerality and cocoa.
Pair with aged Gruyère, herb-crusted roast lamb, and duck confit with crispy potatoes.
